The health risks of radiation from 5G are being debated, however one study suggests the connection between RF radiation with cancer among male rats. The study was classified before it was removed on the 12th of December 2012 by the Central Intelligence Agency, but it demonstrates that radiofrequency could trigger cancerous growth in animal, which includes humans. In the study, researchers subjected male animals to radiation for a period of 15 days. They discovered that they developed similar types of cancers humans develop.

The health effects of 5G radiation
Although the rapid growth of wireless communication have led to development of 5G technology There are increasing concerns about the health impacts of radiation from 5G. Although the higher frequencies do not penetrate the body as deeply as older technologies, scientists have pointed to possible effects on the system and are calling for further studies. To ensure that  does 5g emit radiation  is safe, it is the European Commission is requesting independent studies to determine whether the technology poses any health risks.

It is crucial to remember that there's a substantial amount of misunderstanding about 5G's health impacts, and it is crucial to dispel any misunderstandings that may persist. Although the technology isn't yet widespread, there are many individuals who are being told it could cause health issues, most often via social media where sexy words are used.

Beamforming technique
Beamforming is among the most crucial technologies used in five-G networks. It is a method that uses several radiating elements to produce narrow beams. The aim of beamforming is to reduce the amount of unwanted radiation within the resulting signal. This method is typically employed in wireless communication systems, and is essential for the 5G's cost-effective coverage.

The method is based on electronically weighing the signals of each antenna. This produces the small beam of radiation that increases cell coverage indoors and at cell edges. This technique is important as poor coverage can cause poor user satisfaction. Apart from increasing the signal beamforming reduces the amount of interference a user experiences from other devices.

Power density
The energy density of 5G radiation coming from cellphone towers is similar to that of previous generations of 3G and 4G systems. The reason for the lower power density is the electrical components' sensitivity. The maximum radiation output of  a 2G phone was approximate 2 Watts, whereas that of a 4G handset was about 200 milliwatts.


The power density is a measure of how much electromagnetic energy is absorbed by the body at a certain distance. Its power density in  5g radiation   is typically expressed in the watts per square metres. Unlike the SAR measurement the power density measurement is actually a measure of the quantity of electromagnetic energy within an area. The power density limits are different for mobile devices and wearables according to their operating frequencies and distance.

Specific absorption
The Specific Absorption Ratio (SAR) can be described as a parameter which measures the speed at which a particular frequency deposits power into human tissues. In general, a SAR value should not exceed two watts per kilogram body mass. The SAR value is calculated from the electric field present within tissues and the mass density, which is measured as kilograms for each cubic meter. It was recently used to determine the antenna design.

The new radio technologies that comprise the 5G network operate in frequencies below 6 GHz. These frequencies are known as millimeter waves. However, The FCC's SAR compliance protocol only applies to frequencies of up to 6 GHz. In addition to that, the SAR test requires that measurements be performed with phantoms made of tissue simulating media.

Skin health and its effects
Currently, we are not aware of the impacts of 5G radiation to the skin. Our knowledge of the subject is inadequate due to the lack of in-vivo experiments and theoretical models. However, there is an urgent need to conduct more research on the impacts of 5G radio frequency radiation on the human skin. Using 5G radio frequencies can cause skin damage, especially to the epidermis, one of the most sensitive parts.

In contrast to 4G, 5G radiation is a high frequency which has been proven to cause heat to human tissues. Human bodies are dipolar, which means that the increased frequency of 5G radio waves will cause heat in the skin. Exposure to radio frequencies of 5G can be detrimental to other organs of the body, like the brain.
